Hi future cat parents! My name is Marta Gasper. My husband Jon and I maintain a feral cat colony and do TNR in our neighbrohood in Fairbury,  Nebraska. Sometimes a by-product of being a colony caretaker is that one gets to try to place friendly kitties. I invite you to be introduced to our Foster of the Month in the hopes you'll see that special cat (who believe it or not is just dreaming of your home.) 

We believe people would help more kitties if only (fill in blank)..sometimes it is not neglect or cruelty but lack of means to help.

How we can help you 

• Making and putting up posters around town for the stray you found or the pet you lost.
• You can borrow a trap from us by leaving a $65 dollars deposit that we'll refund when you return the trap.
• We can answer some questions about cat care and give you literature on the matter, but neither Jon nor I are veterinarians,  so please consult one if needed. For a list of area veterinarians see our section Veterinary Clinics.
• Raising/bottle feeding a kitten? We can provide the Kitten Handbook to help you along.

How we cannot help you

• We can't take off your hands the kitty you found or must place ASAP. However we realize that sometimes much is up to the circumstances. Foster of the Month

Sleek, white, ear tipped and very talkative little Sergio AKA Serge as well as The Stig, is looking for a home.

He's 8 months old, neutered and UTD with vaccinations.  Sergio has food allergies and must be on a corn and grain free diet. He likes other pets but Sergio being Sergio just loves people best of all!

Our adoptables are spayed or neutered and up to date with vaccinations at adoption time. We require a fee, only waived in the case of ferals.

Kittens 5 months and younger; $75 (includes first vaccinations, FeLV/FIV test, surgical sterilization, ID tag and collar)

Cats and kittens 6 months to 7 years; $65 (includes first vaccinations, FeLV/FIV test, surgical sterilization, ID tag and collar)

Cats 8 years and older $45 (includes first vaccinations, FeLV/FIV test, surgical sterilization, ID tag and collar)

Adopter is entitled to all veterinary records. Some of the cats can't stand a collar. For that reason we microchip those that are 'collar unfriendly'.

New family must agree to a screening interview and supply veterinary references as well as letting us do followup visits for a period of six months after adoption.
